ILLK/KILL (The End of Kevin Gay)

I'm gunning for Kevin
With all of my might
I'm gunning for Kevin
I've got him in my sights

They'll say that it was him
That he just couldn't take it anymore
That he put the bullet in his head
And then collapsed upon the floor

But I will know the truth
I will know that it was me
Who was hired to kill poor Kevin
Although I would have done it free

And I will stand there at the funeral
As he's lowered into the ground
And I will chuckle to myself
Careful not to make a sound

For no one will know the truth
About how it really all went down
About what happened to poor Kevin
That time I came around.

Rick Rolled with Mario Paint

More Fun w/ Digg

I dunno if y'all are familiar with the whole Rick Roll sensation that's been sweeping the nation, but today apparently is the 20th anniversary of the original Rick Roll, the "Never Gonna Give You Up" MTV video. Digg is funny as hell.

I want to do an experiment.

This is a screencap from lostpedia.

It's the part at the bottom with a bunch of links of names of people and names of things, comprising many of the overarching plot structures, devices and characters of the award winning action drama multiversal paradox generator.

I would imagine it's a bit like looking at Beck lyrics.

Note: It looks like you're going to have to click on it to see it at a decent size.
...on ABC

Tell me what you guys can come up with.

Mulch is needed soon Kevin.

Initial voyage III: end of the returning...

As Cy's previous post indicates, he'll be back at the begining of April. As my comment to that post indicates, I to will be returning at about the same time. So the point of this post is to suggest that any other return-ready individuals also get their SB-presence on. That includes josh and matt, but not roy hart.

The Return of the Returner Part II

What up crew
Ima commin back II da mainland (SB area) around April 6th or 7th, and am leaving again on the 10th.
Hope you folks can get away for a jiff -- prolly be hanging out @ Willies downtown if yalls can come down for a drink. Perhaps get our frolf on. You knows its the clean thing to do!

Right now, while slopping in my typing I accidentally discovered how to flip back and forth between browser tabs in Firefox. it was a good day. And Christopher Walken is Space Walken.

The Sad Death of Billy Glib (extended remix featuring Douglas Xavier Montaux)

Billy Glib awoke to the sound of his own demise. Sitting up, he strained to hear the faint hiss of escaping gas that was carried on the otherwise still air. Unfortunately for little Billy, his extreme paranoia was about to prove extremely unadvantageous for his survival prospects. Every night before bed Billy compulsively engaged in the same ritual; he made sure every door and window was securely fastened closed, as well as the fluke of his chimney. His irrational fear of the non-existent Nanite Swell 11 drove him to seal himself off from the world each night, mistakenly believing that the nanites themselves had an irrational fear of the sun, and therefore would only travel by night. Sitting alone in the dark, little Billy was slowly becoming aware of the gas leak. Having no place to escape to, the gas had silently filled his home. As Billy pondered his predicament in that half-there, half-asleep kind of way, he suddenly spotted a dark form in the periphery of his vision. Douglas Xavier Montaux stepped silently from the shadows into the pale sliver of cold moonlight filtering in through Billy's bedside window. Clutched loosely between his lips was the long white form of a cigarette. Before Billy could even register surprise, Douglas Xavier's left hand rose in a smooth, swift motion towards his face. "I'm sorry little Billy" he thought to himself, "I'm sorry." With a quick flick of his thumb a purple flame burst forth from the lighter to kiss the end of the cigarette. KA-BOOM. Little Billy was no more.

Homeboy jam repetoire...

Since communal jam sessions involving 1 or more home-folk of the sort lurking here are a common occurence, I thought it would be a good idea to establish a loose repetoire of cover songs that we can all be familiar with so we have some material to entertain oursleves with at various sorts of gatherings. So anyone interested should list 2-3 songs that they think we could all play together at the relevent times. There are some songs that we are already familiar with, but feel free to repeat those or suggest something interesting and new...So on with the suggestions...

The return of the rat

How about this solution to the rat paradox, presented a couple of posts earlier:

Here is the paradox-free explanation:

For the sake of this example, I will suggest two rats:

A, which does not know the maze

B, which does know the maze

Here's the rundown:
Daniel sends A's consciousness an hour into the future. There, A learns the maze. Once having learned the maze, rat A is now rat B.
B returns to the present and runs the maze. Time passes...
An hour later, A's consciousness appears in B's body. Rat A is then taught how to run the maze.
Rat A (now technically a younger Rat B) returns to the past, leaving the older Rat B to eventually die in confusion.

Where's the paradox here?
