The Evolution of Western Dance Music...

Here's an animated depiction of the inter-genre development of said music. The data moves too quickly in 'play' mode so I suggest manually dragging along the timeline. Things get crazy around 1975. This post is the cornerstone of my Phd. thesis at the CyrusFx Institute for Techno Studies.

Nifty data display.

This next pic shows you how to dance like a tweaker.

There's a style called "Happy Hardcore!"

damn, that was impressive and a lot of data to digest. i paused it like 7 times. i notice that they round up or down in 5 yr increments.

i should definitely put that in a post on the website. i have like 3 more genre pages to go before its pretty much done. and then some aesthetical tuning.. any suggestions?

also, yeah the title Happy Hardcore is misleading. it should be called Shittycore. the abrasiveness of happy synths and vocals over distorted 200 bpm kick drum beats is too much for a mind to bear.

Terrorcore, on the other hand, is fuckin great (only kidding!):

It's all about Rapecore, son.

...also I wanted 'tweaker1.gif' to be animated, but it's sedentary.

I'm going to combine Christian Hymns with Dubstep to create Christstep.

Sounds like a Jesus-inspired dance troupe.
